Our second day in NYC was jam packed. We began by getting breakfast at a small bakery in Tribeca, then we headed uptown to the American Museum of Natural History, on the edge of Central Park. The museum is huge and I got lost a few times. To properly explore the whole thing would take several days.
After spending the afternoon in the museum, we headed to the upper west side to get some food before heading to Yankee Stadium to see the famous/infamous Bronx Bombers.
We ended up eating at a great little sandwich shop called the Hampton Chutney Company. I had a turkey sandwich, washed down with some excellent orange-ginger iced tea. It really hit the spot and after hanging out there for a bit we headed to the ballpark to see if we could get some tickets to the Yankees-White Sox game.
The weather during the game wasn't the best and it ended up being a blowout(12-3 Yanks) but it was still a fun experience.
Sounds like it was an awesome trip! Probably the first holiday for your Dad in a long time, and well-deserved after a much-awaited retirement!
ReplyDeleteCute picture of you and Abram! Adam is now an uncle twice over, lucky duck. I can't wait to meet the little guy at the wedding.
Looking forward to reading the blog this summer.
