Berg Lake Trail 2

Berg Lake Trail and Mount Robson

I recently did a couple of backpacking trips, a four day trek of over 80 km to Mount Robson and a two dayer from Sunshine Village, through Healy, Simpson and Gibbon passes eventually ending at Castle Mountain. It's been a busy 9 days but I've logged over 120 km on my boots and spend 6 nights in the Rockies. I'll be posting pictures of different legs of each journey, email if you are interested in the details of the trip.

The first pictures are of Robson along the trail into our campsite at Berg Lake. From there we did two day hikes then hiked out.

Mt. Rundle

A very hard hike.

Gollum's Cave

We decided to explore an unmarked parking lot by the road on the way back from Parker's Ridge and we found a waterfall that dropped about fifty meters into a network of caves.

Parker's Ridge 2

Parker's Ridge 1

This was probably one of the two best day hikes I've done in the last 2 years, the other being Helen Lake. The combination of the weather and scenery made it an amazing day with Franny and Damyn.

Plain of Six Glaciers

Shots with this camera were a bit blurry unfortunately, it was a great hike though and really close to Chateau Lake Louise.

Sherbrooke Lake

It took a little while for most of the trails to open up this year and it took even longer for me to get motivated to do a blog post on some of them but here are some pictures.
